ANOKHI’s 6th Anniversary Gala: The Curious Case of Candid Glamour
Classic red pouts, funkified hair and sexy sleek were the prominent looks at several award shows. ANOKHI’s 6th Anniversary Gala, however, sported a look that was, how shall we say it, ‘anokhi,’ perhaps? Whether it was the elegant designer, beauty mogul, rocker chick or the new starlet, they all exuded an aura of understated glamour—for the most part. Here is our red carpet beauty report.

Priya Shah

Prriya and Chintan Priya is all about the, simple, no fuss beauty. She needs to look like herself and feel comfortable in her own skin. So the neutral brown palette that flushed her lips and cheeks was just perfect. Most of the energy was concentrated on playing up her eyes with shiny golds and kajol, kajol, kajol. Did we mention kajol?

Liana McCarthy

Swami An award show wouldn’t be complete without the smokey eye. Contrasting her natural, just-glossed lips with a winged, smokey eye, Liana may have a snuck a peak at our Runway Report. ‘Black and White’ anyone? Her eyes were highlighted and lined with whites, while her cheeks were contoured with just the right amount of color. Overall, she pulled off a delicate balance with an edgy, blonde do and dramatic eye makeup.

Shalini Vadhera

Global Goddess Beauty A flawless complexion acts as the perfect backdrop for neutral tones and notice-me eyes. Shalini's sculpted brows and carefully-lined eyes draw all attention to her stand-out lashes (undoubtedly coated with an extra brush of lengthening mascara). The matte, velvety finish of her skin shows off the subtle terracotta glow of her cheeks. Add a touch of shimmer under your browbone to make your eyes sparkle.
