ANOKHI GALA-Fabulous Time and Fabulous Moments!
Well what can i say! It was a fabulous time had by all. ;-)
Starting off with exclusive cocktails to warm things up on Thursday night, followed by the superbly executed (and a packed house) gala on Friday. Nothing like an Anniversary party to give your weekend a great head start!
Highlights:
Iron Man villain, Faran Tahir and I having an indepth conversation about the Oscars hoping his friend, Oscar nominee, Crazy Heart's Jeff Bridges will take home the prize...as well as hearing about the fabulous pep talk Robert Downey Jr., gave Faran before their screen test.
Having a pose-off with the uber stylish and fashion soulmate Emanuel Sandhu
Anjulie is hot...then I pointed out that she was standing next to the heat lamps.
Backstage with fashion designer Ashley Rebello as he gives me a sneak peak of his collection to be showcased that night, including the INCREDIBLE sequined gold cigarette pants which are BEEEYOND! After I tell him, that I would wear one of his gagras with boots, he sighs, "I LOVE that!" then contemplates the model's footwear for the show.
Choclair, Farahri and I chatting it up about how we South Asians take our music quite seriously!
Raghav's tells me how he's stoked to be performing at one of the medal ceremonies at the upcoming Olympics in Vancouver. A proud moment for all of us!
The simply ravishing Pooja Kumar and I do a last minute wardrobe check. Making sure everything is where it's supposed to be. No need for wardrobe malfunctions here!
Meeting up with so many people with whom I had a loving email relationships during the production of the Sexy & Successful 2010 Anniversary Issue. After introductions came a big hug like old friends. LOVE moments like these! Special shout outs to Anadil, Rajan, and Dulari!
