First thing's first! Let's talk about Sade's latest single "Soldier of Love"
I am sitting here, bursting at the seams with stuff that I want to share with you all.
First thing's first. Have you listened to Sade's latest single, "Soldier of Love"? If you haven't you need to drop EVERYTHING that you are doing and give it a whirl. For one thing, the girl looks exactly the same. You can't believe that it has been a decade, (yes my dears, a whopping 10 years!) since her last release. In less than four weeks "Soldier of Love" is a top five record at Urban Hot AC and Smooth Jazz, already making it one of the fastest moving records of this year's radio charts in the U.S.
The video is simply ethereal, directed by Sophie Muller and doesn't depart from Sade' signature look. Yes she is still sporting her pulled back hair and hoop earrings and those red lips. In this day and age of pre-fabbed out glitter queens, its nice to see someone stay tride and true. She knows that look works for her and hasn't departed from it. She knows who she is, which makes me love her even more.
So go online and check it out! The album drops on February 9th, SOLDIER OF LOVE (Sony Music) and marks Sade's first official studio album since the multi-platinum release of Lovers Rock in 2000.
