Independently owned and operated by Caymanian Heather Lockington, the island boutique hotel opened only four years ago. The Cotton Tree is a perfect fusion of island chic combined with the contemporary décor of a luxury hotel. The environment was inspired by Lockington's thorough research at some of the highest-rated hotels throughout the Caribbean, Europe and North America.

The Cotton Tree is a collection of four beachfront cottages fit for guests who relish the opportunity of a private getaway. Each cottage is a generously sized 1600 square feet, two bedroom suite, where up to four guests can enjoy their stay with the privacy of ensuite bathrooms on each end of the suites.

All cottages are beautifully designed including high ceilings, spacious living rooms, with a traditional contemporary fusion of furnishings. Bedroom suites are soothing in pastel colours boasting 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, while the bathrooms are full-sized with spa or rainforest showers and Jacuzzi bathtubs with a to die for view of tropical flowers and fruits or crystal blue waters of the Grand Cayman islands.

Some events to take in during your stay are the Cayman Culinary Month. The celebration takes place from January 3rd to February 15th, where 150 internationally signature, independent restaurants and local diners are chosen to serve the best there is offer in Caymanian cuisine.

It's the perfect opportunity to indulge in casual beachside lunches and sunset dining. Some of the most popular events is the Taste of Cayman a great place to enjoy Cayman's pub food along with full bar and the Cayman Cookout hosted by Chef Eric Ripert and a roster of celebrity chefs like the Food Networks' 2011 Winner of Top Chef All Stars, Chef Richard Blais and Winner of Top Chef: Just Desserts, Chris Hanmer.
