IIFA Day Three - The IIFA Awards Show

The Grand Finale. The IIFA Awards.
As Day 3 opened up, the Fairmont Royal York Hotel was absolutely buzzing. The stars which were able to mix and mingle casually on the days leading up to Saturday, now needed extra security as hoards of fans were camped out ready for a quick camera snap.
Even a bride who happened to have her wedding on the same hotel stepped off the elevator resplendent in white carrying a stunned face as she didn't expect the mayhem which filled the lobby. What seemed like an attempt to grab a few shots to commemorate her day quickly deflated as she knew immediately that it wasn't going to happen.
Judging by the tweets, status updates and the screaming of crowds which were lined around the the hotel's entrance it was clear. The IIFA Awards has finally arrived.
The Green Carpet was rolled out for what seemed like miles in front of Rogers Centre. Just follow the screams of fans who were literally hanging off of trees and climbing atop anything that could give them a better vantage point.
Once the show got started at 9pm the 5 hour long opus had so many highlights. Here are just a few...
*Even Hollywood couldn't resist the Bollywood temptation. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Hilary Swank were also there as presenters. Crowd goes wild with these surprise Tinseltown appearances.

* Taking into account the tons of dance numbers: From the Deol Brothers with their father Dharmendra, Priyanka Chopra's dance tribute to Asha Bhosle, and Bipasha Basu and her show-stopping shimmies, it was pretty hard to stay in your seat.
*co-hosts Boman Irani and Ritesh Deshmukh hammed it up as emcees of the evening. One must note, the pitch perfect imitation Irani had of Saif Ali Khan.
*SRK's fan-atic moment. Google it.
And of course tons more. This is just a teaser. More in our IIFA 2011 Wrap Up to be posted tomorrow!
Now get some sleep!
