Oscar Nod For Pakistan With The Documentary Saving Face.
With the Oscar nominations just announced Pakistan finds itself a spot for the first time in the 'Best Documentary, Short Subject' category. Congratulations goes to Pakistani documentarian Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy for her piece called 'Saving Face'. The story involves two women who fall prey to acid violence and a British-Pakistani plastic surgeon that treats these victims.
